a street sign on a pole

After much consideration of my use of Etsy as a selling platform, I have decided to make some much needed changes. The first change is to step away from selling on Etsy and sell on my own website.

While Etsy provided me with much needed traffic, trying to be competitive and provide quality products was becoming a struggle, especially with Etsy’s fee structure. Not only does Etsy charge you to add a product, they also charged you a percentage when it sold, plus a fee for shipping, plus a fee for advertising on Google, plus a fee for advertising… It was a lot of money. And honestly, I have yet to break even. While I may have sold items, I was essentially doing so for free, and the only one making money was Etsy. Not me.

I will still post new items on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and other places, but I will be the one who controls what happens with my store.

This also gives me the capability of doing more customized commissioned items that I wouldn’t be able to sell on Etsy.

It is my goal to have everything up and running (perhaps not completely) by July 4, 2025. That’s the goal. And we will also have a special sale at the time for our grand reopening!

Stay tuned!
