I sat down today with my planner for the first time in over a month. I realize that I have gotten so sidetracked by everything going on that I have no clue where to start. Summer will be here soon, and I will be putting everything into growing my business, but at the same time, I am currently drowning in other responsibilities. I actually got a teaching job. I was super excited. Teaching means more money than what I was making in sales, but at the same time, it meant …

It’s all about getting healthy
When I sat down at the end of last year to create this year’s goals, I had to take into account my health. For the last 7 years, my health has been in a steady decline. Much of it started when my father passed away in 2016. The overall stress of grief affected my body in ways I didn’t expect. Although, I began to understand the result of it all when I began seeing a therapist for my depression. Much of my depression was also a result of stress. It’s …

New Etsy Product: Pen Holders
I love to use different colored pens and highlighters in my planner and journal, but trying to keep up with several of them at one time is nearly impossible. Plus, if I decide to take my journal, notebook, or planner with me on the go, does that mean I have to take all of the pens I own, too? Now it doesn’t. I just grab a few colors and a highlighter, place it in my pen holder, and I am off to where I need to go. This also goes …

Building some momentum in the new year
First thing to acknowledge is that when I looked at my list for this week, I felt overwhelmed. Me planning this out a week ago had high hopes and big dreams. The actual me crashed out. Despite all of that, I’m still planning to get things done this week. I have a list of new things being made plus new items for the Etsy shop. Not to mention videos I’ll be working on. I think that I should’ve started making the videos much sooner because I forgot about the amount …

Happy New Year
2026 is now here, and I hope that you are as excited about stepping into the new year as I am. So much has transpired this last year, and so many changes have happened. I went from having a studio, to now I’m working out of a corner of my son’s living room. I moved in with him so that I could sell my house and try to find a teaching job. So far, nothing has panned out, but because of this, I decided to expand my business as much …

Goals! Yeah, I got ’em
I sat down this past week with my brand new Happy Planner and made out my list of goals for 2026. I have a huge list of things that I want to do: a bucket list, if you will. I can’t cram all of that into a list of things for one year. Most of those things are incidentals and not necessarily things you plan to do. The things you can plan for are usually added to my yearly goals, or things that can be broken down into smaller things …

Okay, so sometimes I change my mind
Yes. I know what I said. But hear me out. I know I said that I was walking away from Etsy, but I sort of need the “foot” traffic, if you will, that they provide. I’m not saying that everything will be in my Etsy store like last time because honestly, where I am now, I wouldn’t be able to keep up with that. I doubt my son wants me taking over his house with my business, and that is currently where I am right now. I’m living in his …

Changes are coming
Change. I hate the word because it feels like that is all I have been doing this year: Changing and adapting. How many changes does this make? I’ve lost count to be honest. However, change is necessary. I do not have the time needed to experiment with the things that I wanted to experiment with due to lack of space. I do not have the space to create mounds of inventory. I do have the ability to maintain what I was working on in my studio. So, change it is. …
