The Pink Shovel Studio came about when I decided to venture away from K and R Styles LLC and create a place that was unique to my interests. While sewing and embroidery are a huge part of my sewing studio space, sublimation and other creative outlets also allow me to express myself in the items I create.

Why a Pink Shovel?

When I was teaching in 2014, I was told that there would not be an open position for me in the coming year. A co-worker who was also in the same predicament shared a story about Elisha and how God told the soldiers of Judah and Israel to dig ditches and He would fill them with water. Over the years, the pink shovel she gave me after sharing this Scripture has hung in my classroom (and now studio) as a reminder to dig the ditch, and He will provide.

You see, it’s not our job to fill that ditch. We do what we’re called to do, and God does the rest. These days, I’m doing my part and doing what I enjoy: creating beautiful items with the gift He gave me. Each item is handmade with care and quality. I put the same care, love, and quality in each piece I make just as I would for my family because my customers are family to me.
