Okay, so sometimes I change my mind

Yes. I know what I said. But hear me out. I know I said that I was walking away from Etsy, but I sort of need the “foot” traffic, if you will, that they provide. I’m not saying that everything will be in my Etsy store like last time because honestly, where I am now, I wouldn’t be able to keep up with that. I doubt my son wants me taking over his house with my business, and that is currently where I am right now. I’m living in his …

Changes are coming

Change. I hate the word because it feels like that is all I have been doing this year: Changing and adapting. How many changes does this make? I’ve lost count to be honest. However, change is necessary. I do not have the time needed to experiment with the things that I wanted to experiment with due to lack of space. I do not have the space to create mounds of inventory. I do have the ability to maintain what I was working on in my studio. So, change it is. …

Getting back into the swing of things

Sorry for being MIA, but I promise I’m getting back into the swing of things. So much has been going on at the studio, but I haven’t been able to blog about it or even post much about it. About the same time I ran an advertising blitz and realized that I didn’t even have my shipping showing up on the website. I think that I have at least fixed that issue, if not permanently at least temporarily. Me, physically? After having a breast biopsy surgery in May/June, I ended …

What is a Rose design?

In some of our product descriptions, you may see from time-to-time the phrase, “A Rose design,” and you may wonder what that means. Well, let me enlighten you. Meet Rose. She is currently six, and she is my little helper in my studio. She has a job and everything. Her job is to put the “Toadily Handmade” stamp on the round cards that attach to all things that are sewn. She takes her job seriously, insisting that her brother cannot help because it is her job. Not his. She also …

It’s a slow process

Looking back to June, I realized I had such big goals. I had planned to have everything up and running by July 4th, but that seems like such a pipe dream now as I forge ahead with adding products to my store. The process is long and tedious. I had forgotten how much work a website was at the beginning before you created templates and size choices to pull from again and again. You will notice things being added. Things should start to change. More products should appear. Plus, I …

Changes in Embroidered Offerings

If you read my post a few weeks ago, you will know that my large embroidery machine is now a thing of the past. I had to sell it to catch up my bills due to surgery and health issues (and I’m still concerned about health issues), but I have decided to press on. I still own the very first embroidery machine I purchased and started this adventure with back in 2019, and I have pulled it out of the closet to use it once more. The only thing I …
