In some of our product descriptions, you may see from time-to-time the phrase, “A Rose design,” and you may wonder what that means. Well, let me enlighten you.
Meet Rose. She is currently six, and she is my little helper in my studio. She has a job and everything. Her job is to put the “Toadily Handmade” stamp on the round cards that attach to all things that are sewn. She takes her job seriously, insisting that her brother cannot help because it is her job. Not his.
She also has a good eye for design and fabric. She designed our Rose dress, which is named after her. She picked out the fabric and everything. There are certain things that she has had a hand in designing, and when that comes up, I will state that it was a Rose design because it wasn’t my creative hand at work, it was her hand. Believe it or not, those are usually my best sellers. The only problem with Rose’s designs are that they lean more towards lots of pinks, but she is starting to branch out more. I just hope that it continues.
